Academic Writing: Workshops and Lectures
Each academic year, Uppsala Forum on Democracy, Peace and Justice organizes a series of workshops and lectures on various aspects of the academic publishing process. "Academic Writing" is primarily designed for PhD students in different stages of their PhD.
What does the series offer and to whom?
“Academic Writing” covers topics such as conference preparation and participation, monograph publishing, impact and research communication, and much more. Usually, three separate workshops are offered:
- Writing and Giving Conference Papers in the Humanities and Social Sciences
- Monograph Publishing
- Impact & Research Communication Skills
The workshops are given by Josie Dixon, Publishing and Research Training Consultant, Lucian Consulting.
The series is open to PhD students and postdoctoral researchers based at primarily Uppsala University. However, if availability allows, researchers at other universities are also encouraged to attend. Attendance is free of charge for all participants.
